Ernest Fleet Dalby is an Audio-Visual Consultant working in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Over the course of his 35-year career, he has focused on producing business shows and technical project management in the corporate event industry.

He began staging business shows in 1980 when he was hired by Mario Pellegrini to work in the Multimedia department at United Way Productions in Alexandria, Virginia. During his tenure there he managed hundreds of shows of all kinds, large and small, simple and complex. He learned what the phrase “the show must go on” means and what it takes to deliver a flawless business show.

After working at the United Way of America, he moved to New York City and began producing business shows for Doswell Productions. This enabled him to expand into all manner of business communications in many different settings, including large trade shows. Eventually, as media and communications became digital, he began working with an ever-increasing array of digital media hardware and software – one of the first to employ digital tools and resources in business communications. His activities and accomplishments were published in various trade publications at the time.

In the late 90’s he held a management position at the Newseum when it was in Arlington, Virginia. There he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the large, high-tech museum. This was an intensely detail oriented job that required a very high degree of multitasking. He supervised a staff of four and two Interns.

In 2005, his services were expanded to provide Computer Networking, Video Surveillance, Structured Wiring, Systems Automation, Distributed A/V and Conference Room design and installation.

Ernest currently offers Audio Video Design Technical Consultation services for corporate events, conferences, and trade shows. He lives in the northern Shenandoah Valley in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia with his wife Lisa.

He is a Porcupine Tree fanatic.
